Counseling for School Success

Day Treatment at TST BOCES and OCM BOCES

Counseling for School Success offers programs in partnership with Tompkins Seneca Tioga (TST) and Onondaga Cortland Madison (OCM) BOCES and the local school districts to help young people with emotional and behavioral needs. Students in the Day Treatment program are in need of comprehensive mental health services that are integrated into their academic program. Our high level of staffing allows us to provide an intensive level of assessment, mental health support and skill building.

Day Treatment services are licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and include:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Case management
  • Family therapy and support
  • Medication management
  • Crisis intervention

Eligibility:  Students must be enrolled in the Turning Point classrooms at BOCES and must carry a mental health diagnosis. This level of care is an option for families interested in intensive therapeutic treatment and who choose to have their child’s medication managed by our psychiatrist.

How to Access: Students are referred by their districts’ Committees on Special Education and have a significant history of emotional and behavioral needs.
